Katie Paiva is a Media and Communications student from Dover, NH. She shares why she chose to attend Catholic University, and what advice she has for prospective students.
Why did you choose to attend Catholic University?
"I chose to attend CatholicU because I fell in love with the campus and the people on my recruiting trip with the swim team. When I first stepped foot on campus there was this energy where I knew this was the perfect place for me."
What's been your favorite part of being a student at Catholic University?
"It's hard to choose my favorite part about being a student at CatholicU. Two of them would have to be the family that I've found here, and the location. I've met the greatest people through getting involved in as many things as possible and found some of my closest friends through those opportunities. In addition to that, my friends and I love to take advantage of all the awesome things in DC. I feel so grateful every time I take a fifteen minute metro and end up at the monuments."
What advice would you give to prospective students?
"I would tell prospective students to take advantage of all the opportunities that CatholicU has to offer. It's a school that you can customize to be the perfect place for you. You can throw yourself into your academics, your athletics, your art, your faith, or you can dabble in it all. Just make sure that you're doing something that you love in a place that you love."
