Ireland is best experienced at firsthand, and CUAbroad, Catholic University’s Office for Education Abroad, offers a number of options for undergraduate students to pursue study in Ireland.
Students who are especially interested in studying in Ireland during the summer months may enroll in the Catholic University Irish Summer Institute. Led by our faculty, this program is run annually in Cork and in Dublin after the end of the spring semester. Significant funding to help defray costs associated with the summer program is available exclusively to Catholic University students through the Twohig-Sullivan Family Fund for Irish Studies. Those eager to enroll in the summer program are strongly encouraged to apply.
With the approval of the Director of Irish Studies, students may also receive course credit for the Irish Studies minor through Catholic University's Oxford Program, provided that the student’s individual plan of study at Oxford clearly reflects an Irish focus.
