The Lorraine Elisabeth Cella Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1983 in memory of a former student of the Center for Medieval and Byzantine Studies, Ms. Lorraine Elisabeth Cella. Its purpose is to provide financial assistance in the form of research support, conference and travel grants, tuition payments, or supplemental stipends for living expenses to students pursuing a graduate degree in the field of Medieval and Byzantine Studies.
Application procedure
Eligibility: Graduate students affiliated with the Center for Medieval and Byzantine Studies at CUA are invited to apply for the Cella Award.
Application materials required:
- One-page project proposal or rationale.
- Budget proposal with supporting documents (receipts, invoices, etc.)
- Curriculum vitae.
- Unofficial transcript of graduate studies at CUA.
Application deadlines: Twice a year, November 1 and March 1.
Submission: Completed applications (in one hard copy) should be submitted to the Director of the Center for Medieval and Byzantine Studies in 300 McMahon Hall.
