Briefly describe your new opportunity.

"I will be earning a Masters while teaching 5th grade at a Catholic elementary school!"

How did your Catholic University education help you find this career path?

"The education department at Catholic University really pushed me to think about the gifts that God has given me. Specifically Dr. Bojczyk and Dr. Frederick were huge helps in understanding not only the value of a good education, but the value in being an excellent teacher and human. They consistently checked in on me, cared about what I had to say, and they were always excited and passionate about what they taught. I am so lucky that I took an education class sophomore year because I have found such joy in the department, and I have learned so much!"

What activities were you involved in during undergrad?

"I was President of the Student Government Association; two-year Student Minister through the Office of Campus Ministry; and Chair of the Politics Department Undergraduate Advisory Board."

What were some highlights of your time at Catholic University?

"Some of my highlights were being the President of the CUA College Democrats, being a Team Captain for Orientation, Habitat trips, working in the Office of Campus Activities, and growing in my faith!"

What advice do you have for students during their search?

"Remember that everyone is at a different place in their post-grad plans. Don't compare your behind the scenes to their highlight reel! You are exactly where you are meant to be, and you are amazing."
